(2) Autodesk Inventor 2008 is the last release for which Windows 2000 Professional will be an officially supported operating system.
(3) Autodesk Inventor 2008 and Autodesk Vault 2008 applications are supported to run compatibly as 32-bit applications on 32- or 64-bit operating systems. AutoCAD Mechanical 2008 and Mechanical Desktop 2008 are supported as 32-bit applications on 32-bit operating systems or as 64-bit applications on 64-bit operating systems. AutoCAD Mechanical 2008 and Mechanical Desktop 2008 applications are not supported and will not install as 32-bit applications on 64-bit operating systems.
Note: Autodesk Vault and the Autodesk Inventor/AutoCAD Mechanical design applications must use the same language. Autodesk design applications and Autodesk Vault of the same language may run on operating systems with a different language.

Note: The preceding requirements are recommended for effective use of Autodesk Inventor 2008 software. The following minimum system requirements for Autodesk Inventor 2008 can be used for educational purposes or small assembly design: Intel® Celeron® or AMD® Sempron™ (or better) with 512MB RAM and 1.5 GB available hard disk space. Installation of the Content Center requires an additional 1.8 GB of hard disk space and can be installed on a local workstation or centralized on a server location for access by multiple users.
Other Requirements
- DVD-ROM or CD-ROM drive. Autodesk Inventor 2008 software is shipped in DVD format by default.
Upon receipt of the product, if you would like CD format, please fill out the business reply card and send back to Autodesk for fulfillment. Autodesk Inventor 2008 is the last release for which CDs will be available. Future releases will be available on DVD only.

- Autodesk recommends settings which allow Microsoft Windows to manage virtual memory, as needed. There should always be at least twice as much free hard disk space as system memory.
